Genuine Roman Silver Coin Pendant depicting Emperor Caracalla
• Handmade 100% Made in Italy
• Genuine Roman Silver Coin 3rd cent. AD
• Bezel material: Sterling Silver 925
This sterling silver pendant was designed by me and handmade by the craftsmen of my shop, SERRA, opened in Rome in 1910 and located in via Margutta 57, in the historic center of the city, very close to the Spanish Steps!
The pendant has an authentic roman coin with Emperor Caracalla. On the other side of the coin there is Goddes Athena
Caracalla, formally known as Antoninus, ruled as Roman emperor from 198 to 217 AD. He was a member of the Severan dynasty, the elder son of Septimius Severus and Julia Domna. Co-ruler with his father from 198, he continued to rule with his brother Geta, emperor from 209, after their father's death in 211. His brother was murdered by the Praetorian Guard later that year, supposedly under orders from Caracalla himself, who then reigned afterward as sole ruler of the Roman Empire.
He is one of the emperors who commissioned a large public bathhouse in Rome, which remains a major tourist attraction today.
All of our jewels are certified by a certificate of authenticity attesting their Greek or Roman origin!
