This stunning sterling silver bracelet showcases an authentic Roman silver coin featuring the image of Empress Julia Domna, the wife of Emperor Septimius Severus. On the reverse side of the coin, we can observe the depiction of the Goddess Fortune.

Julia Domna, born around 160 AD in Emesa, Roman Syria, came from an Arab family with a lineage of priests devoted to the deity Elagabalus. In 187, she married Septimius Severus, a Libyan-born governor of the Roman province of Gallia Lugdunensis. Together, they had two sons, Caracalla and Geta.

In 193, a civil war erupted over the Roman throne, leading to Severus proclaiming himself emperor. The war came to an end in 197 when Severus emerged victorious over his opponents. As empress, Julia Domna wielded significant political, social, and philosophical influence. She was highly regarded and received titles such as "Mother of the Invincible Camps."

Julia Domna's reign as empress was marked by her notable impact and contributions. Her role extended beyond mere ceremonial duties, and she played a vital part in shaping the political landscape of the Roman Empire. Her influence resonated through various spheres of society, making her a prominent figure of her time.
