This sterling silver pendant features the divine figure of Apollo, who was revered as the epitome of male beauty. Apollo, son of Zeus and Leto, and twin brother to Artemis, held a multitude of domains. He was the god of the arts, music, healing, purification, prophecy, oracles, poetry, civilization, the sun, truth, intelligence, logic, reason, and archery. Moreover, Apollo bestowed upon mankind the knowledge of medicine. His famed oracle at Delphi drew people from all corners of the Greek world, seeking divine insight into the future.

On the reverse side of the coin, we find the depiction of Minerva riding in a quadriga. Minerva, positioned at the center, is the Roman goddess of wisdom, strategic warfare, arts, trade, and strategy. From the second century BC onwards, the Romans identified her with the Greek goddess Athena. Minerva forms one of the three deities in the Capitoline Triad, alongside Jupiter and Juno. She presided over music, poetry, medicine, wisdom, commerce, weaving, and crafts. Despite her female form, Minerva is often portrayed as tall and muscular, wearing armor and wielding a spear.
